What is Powder Coating?

Powder coating is a technique by which decorative and durable finishes can be applied to a wide range of products. The main difference between powder coating and traditional liquid paint is that powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in liquid suspension form.

The coating is applied electrostatically and then cured under heat and fused into a smooth coating. It is used to create a hard finish that is tougher and more durable than traditional paint. For this reason it is mainly used for the coating of metals such as household appliances, automobile, motor cycle and bicycle parts. The result is a high quality, attractive and durable finish which is uniform in its application.
